Google has officially begun recognising mobile-friendliness as a ranking factor in its search results.
As internet users shift their search habits from desktop to mobile devices, Google will soon display more content optimised for mobile in order to help searchers discover the most relevant and quality search results available.
Google has confirmed that the algorithm update will take place on April 21st, and that it will likely affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide.
Google has suggested that webmasters conduct a mobile-friendly test or examine mobile usability issues using the Mobile Usability Report in Google’s Webmaster Tools.
